Raju Sen Sharma is currently an Energy Software Analyst and Principle Investigator for USDOE funded “Automated Code Compliance System” pilot project and is one of the key leads in the software capability development at the center. He has extensive experience of the full life cycle of the software design process including requirements, definition, prototyping, and proof of concept, design, interface implementation, testing, and maintenance. He has in-depth expertise in creating and deploying software install packages. He is familiar with national and local building energy codes and standards.
Mr. Sen Sharma has significant expertise in the development of simulation tools and web applications. He has been a key member of the EnergyGauge Summit and USA software development team, which are the code compliance software for the state of Florida’s commercial and residential buildings respectively. He also has been the project lead for the Technical Support content management system used by EnergyGauge users, technical support personals, developers and quality assurance personals. He has developed complex algorithms and web application to stop piracy of FSEC software products. He was instrumental in getting EnergyGauge suite of products Microsoft Vista certified.
Mr. Sen Sharma is presently the Principle Investigator for the U.S. Department of Energy funded “Automated Code Compliance Pilot Project”. The goal of the pilot system is to provide computerized “intelligent” screening that could save extensive manpower resources for use in field inspections and other important code official activities.
In the past Mr. Sen Sharma has been the Principle Investigator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s “Indoor Humidity Assessment Tool” (IHAT) software.
He is a lifetime member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon, Honor Society in the Computing Sciences and The National Scholars Honor Society.
