Stylized Text: Data Monitoring

Picture of FSEC's computer center. As a research center, the Florida Solar Energy Center has conducted a large number of experiments in a variety of environments and configurations and in the field and in the laboratory.  Our 30 years of experience has taught us a great deal about instrumentation, data storage, and analysis and has made the Center a national leader in collecting and monitoring data.

Our data monitoring services can help with:

  • Automated on-line data collection
  • Storage, management, and analysis of real-time and historical data
  • Custom presentation interfaces
  • Assistance in designing monitoring experiments
  • Selecting appropriate monitoring hardware

Though we are available to support any type of monitoring project and we have a long history of monitoring:

  • Building energy use and efficiency
  • Renewable energy systems
  • Hydrogen fuel cell laboratory research

In addition to providing data management solutions, we offer on-site installation and customized data logger setup and programming.  We invite you to contact us if you’re interested in working with us on your next project.

The following sections outline some of the data monitoring working currently being conducted at FSEC. Take a look at each section to see example sites and monitoring system configurations.
